Senior Housing proposed in Northlake Development

A senior housing project has been proposed for Sacramento’s new Northlake master planned community.

A planning entitlement application recently filed with the City of Sacramento lays out plans for a 191-unit affordable housing project on a 7.54-acre portion of the Northlake master planned community, formerly known as the Greenbriar area.

The project would include 155 one-bed/one-bath units, 36 two-bed/two bath units and a 3,350-square-foot community room. The units would be spread across six one-story and 10 two-story buildings.

The community would be designed around 19,180 square feet of open space, including a garden. Other amenities would include a dog park, pool, sun deck and picnic areas.

The apartments would be open at restricted rents to income-qualified people aged 55 and older.

The project only needs staff-level site plan and design review. According to the application, the applicant has already completed the pre-application process and taken staff comments into consideration.

Representatives of Integral Communities, the owner and master developer of the Northlake neighborhood, could not be reached for comment. A message left for St. Anton Capital, the applicant for the senior housing project, was not returned.

St. Anton Capital is a Sacramento-based apartment and mixed-use builder with more than 1,000 units under construction.
