Acting as the prime consultant, FLLG provided on-site planning, site analysis, design development, contract documents, and contract administration services for this 1,300 acre, 2,900 unit, residential community in Lincoln, California. Work tasks varied from Site Planning for a 2-acre Club Facility to design development and contract documents for monumentation, bridges, all of the streetscapes, several parks, and passive open space and trails. Further technical work included the design and improvement plans for the temporary pumping of a raw water irrigation system, using on site agricultural water while anticipating the conversion to recycled water source in the future.
It’s the quintessential family community – kids and families walk and ride bikes to neighborhood parks and ice cream shops, while the convenience of everyday amenities and open trails lie just beyond the spacious streets and sidewalks. Neighborhoods are comprised of upper middle-class homes and townhomes with Lincoln Crossing Elementary and Peter Singer Park at the epicenter. The five-acre park is adjacent to the school and includes baseball and softball fields, soccer fields, a play structure, and picnic tables. Auburn Ravine Park is just around the corner and is home to an off-leash dog park and network of multi-use trails. There was a desire to create a strong community vibe within Lincoln Crossing from the beginning. It has its own neighborhood association, which is one of the major draws of the community. The association’s community center (The Club at Lincoln Crossing) has a fitness center, game room, two pools, spa, and banquet room, with current plans to double its capacity and facilities with an indoor pool, recreational pool, and gym.
