The Sun City Community Association desired a re-working of the under-performing and problematic water feature at their main entry. Extensive re-work was successfully accomplished, within a tight budget, to re-design the water feature's quality and character, while re-planting the entry to replace extensive high water turf areas with a low water solution, using plant material that was carefully selected for seasonal, colorful, overlapping bloom cycles. Additionally, the water feature integrated design features to mitigate maintenance issues inherent when using a recycled water source and improved re-circulation by installing an aeration system and upsizing recirculating pumps. At the suggestion of FLLG a new landscape and water feature lighting system was installed to increase the visibility and quality of the entry at night.
